Message from our Nurse

It is my pleasure to care for your children every day. I am always available by email at [email protected] and by phone at 270-8096 to assist you and your children with any medical needs.

As the winter season approaches and we are spending more time indoors, the likelihood of getting sick increases. Please encourage the following interventions to decrease the transmission of germs.

  • Frequent handwashing with soap and water is the best proven way to prevent the spread of germs and infections.
  • Please teach your children how to properly blow their nose and stress washing their hands afterwards.
  • Keep your child home when they exhibit any of the following symptoms. If your child presents with any Covid symptoms, please do a home Covid test before sending them to school.

-Temperature of 100.0 degrees or higher

-Diarrhea

-Vomiting

-Suspected undiagnosed rash

-Covid symptoms such as cough, fever, congestion or runny nose, sore throat, headache.

Please continue to send in Dental forms yearly for Grades K-5. These forms come from your dentist. The school does not provide these forms.

For Grades 1 and 4, we require an updated physical exam.

If we do not receive this documentation. Your child will be screened by our school physicians.

The R.I. Hearing Center also comes yearly to screen the students’ hearing and the PE teacher and myself conduct vision screenings.

Please reach out anytime if you have any questions/ concerns!

Sincerely, Nurse Robin
